Random Thought #1:
I LOOOVE "Jon and Kate Plus 8". And I'm sure you do too.
I love it because if I am ever lucky enough to have children I hope that I have enough strength and patience to go through life with a sense of humor. Do you watch the show and just sit there shaking your head in disbelief like I do? How in heaven's name can those parents (who must tote their children via PASSENGER VAN) not rip each other to shreds every day? And no, they're not perfect. They don't claim to be. But that's what makes them so much fun to watch. How close will they come to killing each other today, you wonder. And incredibly they never do.
Random Thought #2:
I wish I could show you pictures of all of the kids I get to work with on a daily basis. I work here and I am barred by HIPPA (and decency) to tell you any details about their lives. But OH how I wish I could.
I would tell you about the 12 year old with CF who will never grow up to have a family -go to college even- and EVERY single time I see this kid he/she is smiling and laughing. He/she can talk to you about CF in an educated manner and still go about his/her business with humor, passion, and a will of steel. Don't you just WISH you had strength like that???
These kids make me wish I hadn't been in such a huge hurry to grow up.

Have you read this?
Well. You should. Why not?
It's a little young, I think. BUT she is a good writer. She brings you right back to high school: That feeling you'd get when you see a boy you have a crush on. That reaction you had to messing up in gym class. The rumor-mills. Who's going with whom to the dance... I don't miss it, but it waxes some serious nostalgia.
People are saying it's the next Harry Potter series. I'm not too sure about that. How can you beat that? Could anyone, ever? But I'm enjoying it.
PS: I also love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and all things supernatural (um...minus Dungeons and Dragons. I'm geeky but I have to draw the line somewhere). If you're not down with the vamps, you may not like these. FYI.
My boyfriend--who has not yet read them--is convinced they are "girl books." Maybe a little.
Random Thought #4:
I really, really need to: mow my lawn, sweep my floors, clean my kitchen, etc, etc, etc...
Yep. I caved. I bought a Singer Confidence. For QUILTING. Nevermind the practical projects (hemming my ever-long jeans). I've gone straight to the froofy ones.
I am so excited about this, that I've stayed up until 11 every night (usual bedtime is 10) preparing my quilt. Not cleaning. Not doing dishes from SUNDAY. But making an even bigger mess.
*Sigh* My priorities are so very out-of-whack. I can't wait until I have a man around the house to clean for me ;) Kidding. Kind of...
